In the interest of keeping our house in semi-livable condition, we've all had to make sacrifices.
Helena's lost her crib and a ton of toys that she hardly ever plays with, but she's at a possessive age and it wasn't easy for her. She will be getting a new crop of more age appropriate toys for her birthday and Christmas, and there was no place to put them.
Tim and I both have had to let go of things we liked holding onto, but no longer have practical value or sufficient sentimental value to keep.
For me it was two bags of clothes that were ever so cute on me 5 years ago, but even if I was the same weight I was back then my stretched out belly would not be attractive in, and wouldn't be very practical for chasing a two year old around. It's not just the outfits, it's kind of like saying goodbye to who I was before. I can lose weight and buy new clothes, but they will be clothes for the life I have now.
