Heh - no, he avoids my office as it is the lair of our prior cats.
He did however hover over Ash (who was crying this morning because NO SOCKS, NO NO NO NO SOCKS) this morning - I think he has adopted Ash, he keeps coming in to check when Ash hollers.
I found him to be a very emotionally responsive cat, so I can see that. Also, I could tell early on he took to Ash. When I dropped him off and came back two days later to just hang out with him, he was laying at my feet when Ash came up. In toddler petting fashion, Ash took two fistfuls of fur and shook the cat. The cat laid there and took it. When he was tired of taking it, he got up and sauntered off. A little while later he came back and headbutted Ash in the tummy for attention. :D
If you have any doubts about keeping him forever, Dusty's moving to Nevada for work, so he does have an alternative home if needed. I can't imagine he's anything but fat and happy with you guys, though. :D

Good Kitty!
If for some crazy reason, they didn't want such a supremely awesome creature, we would cat-nap him and keep him for our own!
