LJ told me it is my 22nd anniversary here which is a little crazy. I don't remember how I first heard about LJ. I do remember that I started volunteering with their support team to get invites for friends and that was literally how I started my career in tech, even if I didn't get my first official tech job until many years later. Holy shit. Nine months have passed since I wrote last. Wow.

A lot has happened. But I should prob put it in the new place for continuity' sake.

Today I found out a good friend passed away yesterday. She had a hard time in life in some ways. We had a number of parallels it seemed, and I always felt somewhat close because of it, but also I'm not good at being close with people so there's that. I'm really sad about her decision, that she lost the battle with depression. I think I understand ( Read more... )

I didn't post a resolution last year, and I don't have one this year really, but I do want to try to create more. Whether it's writing in here or on paper, drawing, picking up leatherworking again, or maybe even knitting again. Whew, finally bedtime. I love my little guy but I'm looking forward to him outgrowing his 2am-5am awake period.

I am so happy to have good internet at home again. It's been so loooooooong. I think that's my favorite part of this house so far.

In other news, I have 62 LJ notifications that are all LJ news announcements because there are approximately three friends active. While I was looking at them I checked the entries and comments section which reminded me that Nic's LJ is deleted and purged. I'm a little sad about that.
