Having never lived in an area with a high probability for fires, the last week has been a bit of a learning experience. It's been interesting watching the news and learning how to read the fire charts on line. The size of some these have been HUGE, spanning hundreds of acres. Yesterday saw a performance of John Rutter's Requiem. Loved it. Performed his Gloria in undergrad so I was really looking forward to this one. Except I really wanted to be in the choir and not the audience.
