Vin Diesel is saying that there will be another Riddick movie! The Chronicles of Riddick is one of my favorite movies. I don't care if some people find it cheesy, it's fun. :)

The house has eaten my life! We've done several projects and bought some furniture. This weekend, we're having recessed lighting put in the kitchen. ...that I teared up at an inaugural speech. Although I didn't brave the cold and traffic to venture into DC, I'm glad I could watch the whole inauguration on TV, with a bottle of celebratory champagne. I'm so glad Obama won. For the first time, I feel like the President has my back, and will try to fix this country.

I found this recipe for Mapo Tofu and instantly wanted to try it. I've had it before, and loved the spicy red sauce. The recipe calls for chili bean paste and fermented black beans. Well... the first meal using my new stove! When we bought the house, it had an electric stove. Our real estate agent recommended a plumber, and he is fabulous! We have gas coming into the house, and he ran a gas line up to our kitchen. Since there was already a plug up there, I bought a dual fuel stove. The move went really well! The movers took really good care of our stuff and the only casualty was a cheapo lamp that I was going to get rid of anyway. :) I am in love with my kitchen! After what feels like an eon of painting and getting the new house ready, the moving truck is coming tomorrow! I'm looking forward to finally getting to live in the house!

Such an important historical event happened tonight. Today, we are a different country than we were yesterday. Hopefully we'll rebuild our tarnished reputation abroad and begin to fix this broken country. I work for the government, and I will be proud to walk into my building to see portraits of Obama and Biden in our lobby!

I really feel like my vote counted. :) Now, I can go to sleep.
