I do much of my Japanese studying on the subway. There are typically a lot of Chinese people on my commute. Even when I was studying kana, some people seemed kind of interested. Someone asked me if I was studying Korean once. Now I am studying kanji, which are Chinese characters also used in Japanese writing. More people seem more interested ( Read more... )

My new experience yesterday was watching K get tattooed. It wasn't an especially pleasant experience, since he hurt a lot, but it was new. I did not pass out, so I consider that a success ( Read more... )
