Bah.
Sinus infection # 5 has arrived. Had a blood draw for a physical at the dr's this AM but they don't want to see me again until Thurs (for the physical). Gonna have to tough it out until then. And no air conditioning again, it's 80F. I can be sick or overheated but please PTB don't make me be both. Phooey phooey phooey. -

It's hot and my stupid throat is sore. (Hopefully only because I strained it trying to find my soprano register on the way home in the car last night. Shouldn't have done it--I just got my alto back this last weekend.) Been to the doctor AGAIN.
Bronchitis and sinusitis together this time! And yet I don't feel as crappy as I could, I still have some energy if I could just stop coughing. I can't catch my breath after a bad spell and it sucks. This time I have antibiotics with an inhaler. The cats are scared of me, I'm so noisy. It's a terrible time to have this as I haven't worked a ( Read more... ) -

We've had Grandma's funeral, I made it through the eulogy I wrote without breaking down, or even better, without coughing. We buried her in NP this afternoon. It was great to see lots of people at her funeral. I'm exhausted, it was a long day and a long drive ( Read more... ) -

And now the boss is dying. Man, I just can't believe this. It's like the week from hell times 2. If he passes today or over the weekend I hope they hold the funeral Tuesday so I can go, cause my Grandma comes first. -

Grandma passed away around 2 AM this morning at the age of 99 1/2. The staff at CJ said it was peaceful. I've been to breakfast with my parents and my sister and her family, spent 2 hours at the mortuary (ohmigod funerals/burials are expensive), went to CJ to retrieve some of Grandma's things and spent time at the parents' looking for pictures of ( Read more... ) -

Grandma's supposed to be out of the hospital today, where she's been since last Wednesday. She's headed back to CJ but into "expanded" assisted living, who in turn will be supplemented by hospice care. She says she's not in pain so I hope the combined care will be enough to keep her comfortable and out of a nursing home. She's exhausted and I ( Read more... ) -

Dad and I spent time at Walgreens last night making greeting cards out of brother's and sister's photos of Grandma from Xmas. It didn't cost too much and they turned out really nice; we were able to get 4 pictures on there. I'm glad I could do this, since I'm not sure how else to help him right now--he's grouchy because he's upset. It sounds ( Read more... ) -
Feeling better.
Cough has been quiet now (mostly) for a few days, at least no gagging and vomiting. My mouth tastes like metal though, even woke myself up night before last 'cause I swallowed in my sleep and it tasted gross. Going to try taking zinc on advice of dr sibling unit, I need to boost my immunity somehow so I quit getting every little virus that comes ( Read more... )
