A late update. I finally found my Javelin kit. There's a building/flying challenge going on for the 600 series kits, which this is one of, so I'm going to build it for that.

Important thing is, I FOUND IT!!!

I wuz goin' nuts.

OK, I officially failed. Still, I don't feel too bad. I did make progress on both models. I learned that I need to build at a slower pace, because I've spent a fair amount of time correcting mistakes I might not have made if I wasn't trying to press on.

Glacially slow, that's me. :-)

Well, it's pretty much a certainty I won't get both planes done before the end of the month. I may get the Cloud Buster finished, but maybe not. Gollywock is just about a definite zero chance ( Read more... )

Making progress on the Gollywock and started in on finishing the Cloud Buster. I might get these done yet.

Made some progress today on the Gollywock. Managed to shoot myself in the foot again. I tried to modify one of my tools, a balsa stripper, and made it worse instead of better. I've had to essentially rebuild it. More time wasted. Still haven't turned up the Javelin kit. Looks like I'll be switching to the Cloud Buster if I don't run out of time.

I have hit a major setback. I can't find my Javelin kit. It's not in the place I thought I had it and it's not in any of the likely secondary locations. This means I have to start something else, probably the Cloud Buster. Damn!
If I find it in the next week, I think I can still get in done in the time left. We'll see.
