So obviously I've been consumed by college since August and haven't been able to update. Well, the day has finally come. Today, at 0030, I realized that in one week, I will be leaving for U of M, Ft Custer, and the rest of my life. Well, I sat through another funeral today, and again, it was a Christian service. Jon was a good man, and it is good to glorify his life and teach others how to live through it. There is only one thing that bothers me with these services...and religion as a whole.

Well, this week has been probably the least exciting of the summer. The only thing I can safely say is that I will most definitely be ready for ROTC in the fall. I officially have my orders to join the unit on scholarship, so everything is set for my mostly free ride through U of M Engineering. I got accepted to VMI, and went there over break for an interview and open house. I got food poisoning at the open house part, but that didn't change my outlook on going there. I very much look forward to going there this fall.
