Oof. Beautifully written. There are a lot of shades of my mom and sister in this. It took a long time and a lot of pain, but my sister is 44 now and stable, with five years of sobriety under her belt, and we've all done a lot of healing. I'm so glad you and your child are in a place of growth now.
