He's had to work three times as hard his entire life just to get the things that you or I could get with a few simple words. Explain that. Tell me how that made us safer. Tell him how that was what you wanted."

See, that took skill. You took what was essentially a back-story info-dump and made it exciting and intense. I could practically hear the bitter anger in Sam's voice and see him doing the wingspan of righteous anger delivering it.

My goodness! I'd read the first three stories in this 'verse a couple of months ago but didn't know it had been continued. I am *so* glad I stumbled upon your stories again and this time am able to comment.

I loved the premise of the 'verse from the beginning (I might have a teeny thing for mute!Dean in general ;) but I am so impressed with the depth and breadth and believability of this thing you've created. The emotional impact of each story - especially the previous and present ones - is stunning and I have to echo Ratcreature and say 'Ack! What a cliffhanger!'.

I hope you find the time to continue this soon, so I can start breathing properly again! :)
