I'm done. I got the cheapest faucet they had---$17! This was an emergency, and I don't want to pick out our new faucet quite yet. I really just wanted to replace the hose and head, but that was about the same price -- and Home Depot didn't have the hardware. :)
The hardest part seems to be preventing the faucet from leaking when water gets behind it. I think some silicone sealant is called for.
I swear, I truly believe Home Depot is some sort of practical joke being played on those who try to buy things there. Sort of like the Museum of Jurassic Technology.
