I got the processor part of my implant yesterday and hooked it up.  First, there was kind of a hearing test with the implant hooked up to a computer.  Then we programmed it and turned it on.  I'm not really able to describe the "noise" I can hear.  Let's just say I can hear stuff, though not sounds as they really are.  Had some problems right off

My dad got a backpack when he got his new sleeping breathing machine. I guess its easier to cart all the plugs and battery chargers around in than the box?

I'm glad you were able to get the dizziness worked out. I hope you are able to quickly adjust to the implants and find out how to make them work best for you.

Thanks Bandito! I have the email for a couple of technicians at the hospital plus a number I can call there too. I also have a friend who has an implant.

A backpack? This is serious business! And read the manuals, damn it! I hate it when people don't read the manuals. :p

I'm so glad you solved the dizziness issue. Just give it time, you'll adjust to this and hopefully it's going to be a lot better.
