Heh. My state is so ghetto we don't have emissions standards. If we did, probably 70% of cars on the road wouldn't pass.

oh my gosh! Our cars (we have four) consistently don't pass every year until they are maintenanced. But we always go to emissions first to try our luck. It's tradition. I can't imagine how bad they would get after years of not being tested! We would never take them to a mechanic. Heh.
