I'm supposed to be winging my way to ORC right now, but instead I'm home with a sick kitty. Lucy is 16 and has been steadily losing weight and barely eating anything for weeks. She's on medicine for hyperthyroid, but just this morning it occurred to me that she could also have a blockage because she couldn't digest the Pill Pockets I tried last ( Read more... )

Hey--

Have you gotten the results back yet? Do you konw what kind of treatment you may have to use for your darling Lucy?

My thoughts are with the both of you. Reach out to us if you just wnat to talk or ask questions or just share stories about her. WIsh I were closer so I could be of more help.

Thanks for checking in. It doesn't look like there will be any treatments besides painkillers, but I'll know for sure tomorrow. We really appreciate the thoughts.

It's a hard time, but it had to come someday. I held off today so my best friend can come say goodbye. We got painkillers and they've made her feel much better. I'll pass the hugs on to Lucy.

Hi, I've seen you around at Claudia's and other friends' journals. Thank you for the kind thoughts. I've never had to make this call before, but I want to do what's best for her and prolonging her suffering isn't it. I hope your little girl continues in good health for a long time.

I'm so sorry about your poorly cat, you are very kind and loving to stay home with her. So sorry you missed ORC too, I hope something lovely will happen to you soon...

Thank you, it's kind of you to stop by when I've been so absent online. I'm so glad something told me to stay home with her, I couldn't imagine knowing she'd suffered while I was gone. At least she did all right while I was in England. That was already a lovely thing to get to visit there.
