What a warm winter
It seems like forever since I posted anything, but it seems like life is finally settling down somewhat, which is much nicer than this time last year. My sister found a psychiatrist that is willing to work with her and listen to her about what her thoughts are on medications and what she is comfortable taking/trying, and she is pretty excited about ( Read more... ) -
Fall fall fall
It's finally going to cool down here! Very exciting! We have a very short "fall" here, we seem to go from super hot and humid for 7 months, to nice and cool for 2 months. to "cold" for 3 months. And this far south we don't get leaves changing and no snow at all, but anytime the humidity drops for any length of time is a joy ( Read more... ) -

Next Big Thing
So I belong to the...club or whatever for the radio station that is putting on the Next Big Thing Concert here in Tampa where My Chem is to play Dec.5. I just got a notice from the radio station that this year there will be : "spontaneous performances. Imagine standing in line and a performance breaks out right in front of you ( Read more... ) -
MCR tour
! My local rock station just announced MCR will be playing their Next Big Thing concert here and it will be the only Florida stop. Oh man, I wasn't going to go until I heard that but now I am tempted to buy the VIP tickets (2 for $250) that let you hang with the bands!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, since my oldest nephew has been staying with me (he'll be 16 at the beginning of Oct.) he has gotten three tattoos. In my defense his mother (my little sister) and I knew that sooner or later he'd get tattoos, it's only been a matter of time. So far behind
I am now a month behind on LJ and DW. I have not even been able to read any Big Bangs yet in any fandom.
My oldest nephew, who is 15 soon to be 16 at the start of October, has moved in with me while his mom and stepdad try to find a new place in my neighborhood. And I love my nephew, he lived with me until he was almost seven and practically lived ( Read more... ) -

My oldest nephew turned 15 in Oct. and finally got his learners permit for driving in January. Holdiays in Tampa
Every year, for over a hundred years, my town celebrates Gasparilla. This is not a national holiday but one unique to Tampa. Jose Gaspar was a pirate that pillaged and looted and was a bad person, being a pirate and all.
