Most of the time you never know.  Why things happen as they do?  What the final outcome will be?  How your decisions can be measured?  For some reason I feel like I dither about these things more than most.

What is it that allows some people to be so sure of themselves?

And how do I get some of that?

I never run out of gas.  When the light comes on my dashboard, I usually have about 80 miles left in the tank, but I never push it.  Why would I?  It is not a competition.  No one gets a prize for being lowest on gas when they pull into the gas station.  Besides, it terrifies me.  All broken down, by the side of the road...

Not sleeping, anxious, headachey.  I am trying to turn down the brightness of my screen and somehow find some of the simple joys of nothingness.  The fan making its mechanical reiterations.  The random sounds from outside and far away.  The soft rhythmic tapping on the keys.  The whoosh of the air in the vents of the house.  My brain is here awake ( Read more... )

DTE is taking it's sweet time restoring that juice.  It went off long before Warren bolted upright at 7:30AM.  Was off long enough for the birdbath flow to have drained the pressure from the well tank.
