Paris. Hot muggy skies. 34 degrees Celsius, feels like 41.

No air conditioning or ventilation, not at home, in the bus or the metro.

I've taken to seeking refuge in supermarkets. Oh, what I would do for a fan right now!
 

8 days to go before my first pair of double-whammy same day final exams and this is what I find myself doing:

1. Sleeping all day. My sleep pattern is SERIOUSLY messed up these days. As in, "fall asleep at 5am and wake up at 3pm" messed up.

2. Being obsessed with Game of Thrones. I even downloaded the e-books and am thisclose to start reading ( Read more... )

1.  Finding untranslated English-language books in Paris. I was pointed to a Smith`s on rue Rivoli, near place de la Concorde, which sounds promising. I was looking to buy George RR Martin`s original books for A song of Ice and Fire for my trip tomorrow (more like in 2.5 hours...), but I guess that`ll have to wait. As some of you know, I am going on exchange to Paris (!!!) in February in order to study there for a semester. Studying abroad, as one might expect, necessitates a student visa. Which I have applied for, by sending in all my documents to the French Consulate. One of the documents that they require? My passport.
