I believe that, when in high school, you can find someone who you love and care about and continue to love and care about for the rest of your life. I dont't think, however, that it would be easy for a high-school relationship to evolve into a college- or post-college-relationship. In high school people are still at the point of taking the minor, superficial things into consideration; looks, popularity, acceptance, and insecurities. Once out of high school, people tend to mature past those things and maybe once those things are gone, the relationship could fail. Some relationships are based solely on the conversation of talking about people and things, and not actual meaningful things. Granted, not all high school relationships are based on that, but many are. Maybe one youre out of high school and out of college, you may have different ideas than your high-school sweetheart. Possible conflicts may include feelings about children, family, career, traveling, settling down, etc. Two people may be in love, but they may have total ( ... )

Ok well Im glad I didnt discourage ya. Sometimes I think Im too analytical and logical instead of being like "well if you love each other, then yes, you can make it". Thatd be the cute little heart-trusting part of me, but Ive come to not trust my heart. It always eff's me over. *Cristen*

yess high school sweethearts are so real and it happens all the time. look at me and my boyfriend for instance ..oh wait i dont have one and im not even in fucking high school yet. ha im a nut and a hald but yes i believe in them and you n joe are deffs one of them. or so i hope. i love you becks!! love always - brooke
