Bela, on the other hand, actually manages to make it to the hot chocolate. She has been out all day and is desperately in the need of something warm. What she gets, however, makes her feel a little bit warmer than she anticipated. It spreads through her fingers and all along her body just from holding it, and as she drinks it, her demeanor lightens considerably.

She smiles. She's sociable. You could almost say she's actually being nice. Anyone who knows her would be astonished.

She's decided to stay out in the cold for a little while -- probably for however long this lasts, and has taken her time just walking around the park an enjoying the weather.

Oh, and there's mistletoe too.

Damon trusts Bela more than anyone else in the city other than Elena.. He smirks at the question as he pulls back, breath a little thready. He smirks at her as he looks from her lips up to her gaze.

"I thought you'd never ask." And this is the part where he'll pull her over to his apartment. His car isn't parked very far away so it won't take them long

And once they get there ... they'll be busy for a while. To say the least.

Jo hasn't been feeling the Christmas cheer. An invisirift spit her out only days ago, and she's not exactly sure how much time she's missed, but she knows it wasn't snowing when she was last in Chicago. She'll be taking some of that hot chocolate eventually, but for the time being, she's drawn inexplicably to Bela.

The mistletoe dangling above her head might have something to do with that.

They've only had the one conversation or two, so Jo really does not mean to march right up to her and lay a kiss right on her.

But that's exactly what she does.

Bela is not opposed to all the kisses she seems to be getting in the least. She's actually feeling rather pleased that everyone is being so affectionate this Christmas. Wait for the hot chocolate to wear off and she might feel differently, but for right now, she's pretty pleased.

So she'll just keep kissing you until the magic wears off, Jo. Enjoy.

Oh, she enjoys it. Bela is a very good kisser, she has to admit. Jo's going to keep kissing her right back, and it's only until the magic wears off she breaks off, a little breathless.

"... Hey," she says once they break away, since this is not how she expected their next meeting to go. She wasn't even sure if she would see Bela again, and then they had a hot kiss out on a sidewalk.

Jo's not a bad kisser herself, and Bela blinks a bit in surprise, but there's a smile nonetheless. "Hello," Bela says slowly, with a bit of a chuckle. "I know it's been a while, but that wasn't quite what I was expecting."

"You and me both." Jo takes a step back, letting out a chuckle of surprise herself. That's the first time she's... done that. She'd say hey, but Jo remembers she said that already, so she shakes her head and looks up.

"The Rift's at it again, I take it?" she says, a smirk on her lips as she turns back to Bela again.

Bela chuckles. "I think so. The same thing happened to me last Christmas, I believe."

"You're kidding," Jo says, and he expression is a mixture of aggravated and amused. Twice in a row? Seems like the Rift thinks Bela is a very kissable creature. "I'd try shooting at it for you if I had my rifle with me."

The mistletoe, that is. She's an excellent shot, Bela, no worries.

Either that, or it thinks she needs to get some action. Regardless, Bela's getting kissed all around, and when she looks up at the mistletoe that seems to be following her around, she shrugs.

"It's not that terrible. I'm fairly certain that worse things could happen to me."

How terribly generous of the Rift, that. It might think Jo needs to get some action herself, but she's definitely not looking for anything. Jo sighs and smooths her hair out of her face, jaw set stubbornly.

"Still sounds hell of a lot annoying if you ask me, but you're the one it's followin'."

She laughs. "It's not trying to kill me. I know not to look a gift horse in the mouth."

Nikolas has not met Bela Talbot officially.

They both worked for Josef Soltini, and are now working alongside Damon Salvatore, so they should meet at some point. He would rather it not be under these circumstances, but when does the Rift take into consideration other people's concerns?

You'll be getting a smooched by a Russian prince, Bela.

The narration feels that you should never apologize for spam. Spam is most welcome.

As for the kiss, well. Getting kissed by a rather handsome Russian prince is always welcome as far as Bela is concerned. And with the hot chocolate easing her mood, she'll melt right into it, one gloved hand coming up to rest against Nikolas's face.

Nikolas, in turn, places a hand across the span of her small waist, bringing her in further. The kiss is warm, soft with a hint of intensity behind it, because Nikolas is an intense sort of character by nature. Once they break away, he looks at her and seems taken aback.

"I ... don't know what came over me, I'm terribly sorry," he says with a small laugh, taking a step back and placing a hand over the lapel of his expensive and dashing suit.
