So, the Sox won for the second time in four years a few weeks ago. Since then, they've re-signed two major free agents - Curt (Bloody Sock) Schilling and Mike ('07 WS MVP) Lowell. They're about to extend Terry Francona's contract as Manager and they've got a full stable of young talent from their farm system.

It's a good time to be a Red Sox fan

The Diocese of Chicago elects a new Bishop. Let me know if you notice any earth-shattering kaboom's.

I'll say this about out old voting machines.

I never arrived at the polling place to find that there was no machine for me to vote with.

Of course that's because our poll workers had never voted with any other kind of machine.
