Last night was an incredible birthday party/singalong at Sam's house. Sarah and I got to meet Sam's grandmother and her new husband Bob, both of whom were lovely, fascinating people. Okay so there is this band called Beirut that I have been listening to lately, and they're very good and I bought their album and everything. The recital went well. Today was Maurice's birthday, so I got him a copy of Beirut's album, which is really good (I bought one for myself also). At his house there was pie, and ridiculous stories from some party last night. Due to the massive Rilke paper, today I had the least eventful birthday of my life. But Sarah came over and she gave me a typewriter.

Hey, for those of you who saw that last entry, that's what happens when my sleeping pills don't quite work.

So anyway, I'm going to Oberlin. I still don't know what kind of financial aid I'll be getting on top of the 16,000 scholarship, but it's all looking doable, and it really seems like the place for me.
