Quick question! Since, from what I understand of the FAQ and info pages, characters are all being treated as AU versions "from this world" and not pulled in from their original world, I would like to ask: what of non-human characters? (Eg: aliens, monsters, spirits, talking animals, demons, etc.) Can they be apped? If able to be apped, are their AU versions automatically "human" in this world or is it something you can work out on a case-by-case basis? (Eg: for an alien character who makes contact with Earth in his/her own canon, for example let's say: E.T.! Could that version of Earth also be treated as our version of Earth so as to keep their AU backstory as close to canon as possible? And so on ( ... )

Non-human characters are allowed, but they would need to be AU'd to be humans. In the same vein, there are no superpowers in this world (aside from the branches of sin that are completely unknown outside of DW), so nobody would have any powers upon arrival in the game. Everyone is indeed reduced to "normal human" standards.

No problem! We don't mind clarifying.

I notice that IP logging is turned off on this journal and on blood_ooc; since the tag cloud posts on the IC communities have comments turned off, I can't check there, so I wanted to just make sure. Is IP logging turned off on those as well? I'm asking because of this.

Oh, wow, that's... special. But, no, bloodcarnival and dwjournalnet both have IP logging turned off.

Quick question about the Background section of the application. Are you asking for the character's actual background up to the point of them being arrested, or something completely improvised?

It depends on the character. For example, somebody from Deadman Wonderland could have essentially the same history as they did in canon, while somebody from another canon set in the real world could have a similar history to their real canon, though it would have to change at some point, even if it was just at the end, to get them into prison. A character from a completely different world would have to come up with something completely new to fit them into the world the game is set in.

Hi! I'd love to post an ad for the game on my journal etc, do you have a code I could use?

We do! I've gone ahead and unlocked the entry with our ad code if you'd like to use it.

Thanks so much!

Hi, I was wondering if there's intended to be an AIM game chat for Blood Carnival. I looked around the pages but could not find one unfortunately.

Even if it's unofficial (i.e. just used by players to talk to each other and not for mod business for obvious reasons), I think it'd be a great idea for players and potential players to get to know one another and plot in real time.

Yes, that's a good idea! We'd love to have one, but due to our anon modding we are unable to set it up ourselves. If you or another player would not mind setting it up and organizing it, you are completely free to do so, and we will list it on one of our pages.

Great! After discussing with the other current players, we've decided on the highly imaginative yet easily remembered bloodcarnival for the chat name.

Thanks! It's been added to this post and to the navigation post.
