Blarg. Last night, I slipped into one of my bouts of bad brain chemistry, during which I feel incredibly depressed for no apparent reason. Yeah, there's usually a trigger, and there was, but the degree of my depression is way out of whack with the trigger and usually not focused on the triggering event. Just as I was getting up this morning at 6am, I discovered that Ein was really struggling to breathe. So, instead of taking him up to Northbrook to see the internist at 9am, we rushed to the closer ER, where they gave him oxygen and tapped his chest again. Well, we just heard back from the cardiologist. The pathologist said it's lymphoma. We're meeting with the internist tomorrow morning at 9am to discuss treatment and he may even get started on the chemo then ( Read more... )

Einstein's home. We met the cardiologist and she was very nice. She told us that he has a cranial mediastinal mass, which is a mass in the area above the heart.
