I hope President Bush knows what he is doing by switching and nominating John Roberts to replace Chief Justice Rehnquist. I think it would have been more prudent to nominate someone with an already excellent track record, such as Justice Scalia, to the Chief Justice position.

President Bush nominated John Roberts yesterday. He has been a judge on the Court of Appeals for two years and has a sparse to nonexistent paper trail. I’m fairly certain he will be confirmed; However, I am always leery of Supreme Court nominees, especially ones lacking a paper trail. Wow I haven’t posted anything since November. This summer is moving right along. I went to Florida; I stayed in Longboat Key and visited Selby Gardens there. I also spent some time in St. Armands key and various other places around the Sarasota/Bradenton area. In addition, we drove to Orlando one day and went to Epcot ( Read more... )

I cast my vote for President Bush this morning.  I arrived before the polls opened at 7:00 AM.  The line appeared long but moved quickly and I was out in 10 minutes.
