I had my first try of one of the many gourmet specialty cupcake shops that have sprung up over recent years, at Sprinkles in upscale Palo Alto.  I was incredibly dubious whether a $3.25 cupcake was worth its cost... Just saw two great sci-fi flicks at mysterymrglenn's tonight, Moon (2009) and Sunshine (2007).  I don't think either of them got the attention they deserved.  Sunshine is just a good intense mission-gone-wrong kind of film, and Moon has an awesome unpredictable story and an intriguing one-man-show stage-performance vibe ( Read more... )
