i was like that too when i first lived by myself, but now i prefer living alone. easier to keep clean.

I had the same problem when I lived by myself. The self-muttering doesn't really go away, but sometimes it leads to interesting conversations. Maybe get a fish or a hamster or something? Might make you less lonely, yet isn't like having a roommate.
