flip flops are the most amazing of shoe types, they are loud and noisy so bears don't attack, they keep you from running with scissors by the pool, they cause blisters which teach you valuable lessons about walking (don't) and since they offer almost no support, less than being barefoot, you'll spend thousands on doctor visits and pediatrists so they help spur the american economy.
