I thought this was pretty interesting. I'd been cognizant of the fact that my friends are largely not religious, but I'd not really contemplated it in terms of growing social trends. Still, what this article calls the "nones" seem familiar to me; maybe because I'm one myself?

Thought this was kind of interesting, especially in light of my sister's insistance on a more traditional courtship. I do agree with a lot of things the article says - children should be tied to marriage, for example. Labels are indicative of one of the inherent flaws in the human makeup. Our brains are designed to find patterns and seek comprehension, but one of our key mechanisms for doing so promotes weak presumptions. I finished the Sword of Truth series. What started as one roughly-contained epic fantasy expanded to twelve novels, and though there was shaky going around novel seven, the last three books more than did justice to the original spirit of the series.
