Microsoft Cutting 5% of it's Workforce

Microsoft is in trouble and cutting jobs.

Maybe Epic should recruit some of the 5000 that are getting laid off.

The J&C has had to change its strategy and laid off eight of the "everyone who walks in the door" it was desperate enough to hire. I was ticked that they don't have to come back to work and get severance packages. A month later, they suddenly decided to write me up for one of my numerous temper tantrums, and I'm told that I'm risking being fired if it happens again. (Of course, I don't have a contract in the first place. It's just because the supervisor thinks I'm a good worker for some reason that I'm still there.)

aseop_ is looking for better work too. I believe he's a CS major. . . .

Well hopefully you don't loose your job but, I see what you mean with the advantage of not having to come back and a severence package.

At this point, I would rather lose my job, even if I were fired and got no benefits and a bad mark on my record. I have no prospect of ever getting anything better even with a good recommendation.
