After a few rearrangements, I managed to come up with a good substitute show. I can't say I wasn't completely crestfallen when Ronit said she wasn't going to be singing with me. But I think the tachlif will be nice. Needless to say, I'm nervous like crazy. Ok. Not dwelling on that right now ( Read more... )

i'm sorry, i'm sorry!

no, actually i'm not. i'm glad we had that conversation, although i didn't mean to unsettle your whole world. and if it makes you feel any better, i brought the topic up with pretty much every other person i talked to later that night, because i was also not at all finished thinking about it or talking about it.

by the way, you should ask Avigyel what happened in her day. i think it sucked more even than the stuff we were talking about.

also - what show? who's Ronit?

What were you girls talking about?

Oy, if Avigyel had a bad day, at least I tried to make the end of it better. Ask her what I did 0:) And if she tells you, tell her that it's a good idea. I think it is, at least.

Avital - you have the prettiest voice!

I'm not sorry about the convo, don't worry.... One of the things that I got out of it (besides you reminding me that we really don't see things the same way, so there's no use in forcing it, avital) is that I starting thinking about the good things that Israel has to offer, and it really does offer good things. :)

Ronit is my friend who was supposed to sing with me at a women's fundraiser. We went to auditions together and everything, and we got in, but then Ronit dropped out because her good friend is getting married that same night. Like I described before, I was crestfallen, but everything is all better now and I managed to construct a song without her. It's a shame you can't see it!! Oh well. This won't be the last one, G-d willing.

oh, she had a horrible anti-israel professor who led a class discussion on how israel is so much worse to the palestinians than they are to us.
AND she also said that 9/11 was a huge government conspiracy that somehow involved israelis or jews...i'm not quite sure about that part...

but i have no clue what rebecca did. i hope it was good, avig sounded like she needed it.

hey - i'm glad we had that discussion too, but i wanted to know: can i start calling you my "crazy extremist friend"? because i would like to, if i can...
