Tomorrow I'm going with my friend-and-almost-a-bride Sara to the Rabbanut to testify that she is, in fact, single. She said to me on Friday, "can you come with me on Sunday to the Rabbanut and be my 'ed'?" I said sure, but I thought she said 'aid' and I didn't understand what I could possibly do for her at the Rabbanut. Sign papers for her? Get her ( Read more... )

living a year of avital's life at orot? be sure to warn her about whoever is living a year of my life there... she's bound to be a not-so-machmir-blue-eyed(but not contacts)-hand-shaking-girl who won't recognize your sister if she starred in a play.
yep. i'd definitely warn her.

yay!!! sara's engaged!!!

At least we can be sure she won't tell that not-so-machmir-blue-eyed(but not contacts)-hand-shaking-girl that she's from El-Ay, because she was born here in Israel. That already puts her year on a different track so the two of them might never become friends and then not have a chavruta about writing a mekel book for women. And they won't greet each other with your birthday, and well, i think you get the point. And all this because my sister was born in Israel. I mean, there goes the only conversation starter I usually use with new people.

HAHA!

its a good thing they won't be friends too because i'm not so sure there is in fact a girl living a year a of my life. Yep, R' Weiss just called and said that she dropped out. Something about weird girls with weird frog obsessions. kind of freaked her out a bit.

By myself? I don't know. Remember that I'll be watched by at least a dozen semi-professional dancers. I'm not sure I want to do that to myself.

that would be so freaky (in a good way). Hey,guess what, I'm working in Kedma nowadays and that's weird because I voluntarily chose to return my life to the world of chutznikiyot (I mean, potential olim)...
