Entry #1

Ok. So, this is my first LiveJournal entry. I've always had an immensely difficult time keeping journals -- personal, academic, whatever. I guess I'm feeling some pressure to write something significant. Hmmm. Well, today I went to work, then I helped a friend do some organizing and packing because she's moving soon. (Bye, Denise! Yeah, it's sad seeing friends moving on like that...especially when the odds are she won't be back for more than occasional visits. At least she's close enough to be within driving distance, especially if she stays where she's headed.

I think the game Saturday should be fun. Just about any RPG can be entertaining depending on the group you play with.

Welcome to the club!

Yes, I hope that visits (either way) do happen occasionally! She's a great person. I'm also glad there are other great people, such as yourself, who will probably be around for awhile. Here's to geeks and gaming!

And about the club: where's the punch and pie? ;)

I have problems keeping journals, too. That's probably why I don't keep it all *that* personal.

It's funny - I always seem to be more personal in responding to somebody else's LJ than I am in mine.

Thanks! I don't feel so much pressure to perform. (Now there's deja vu...)

Perhaps that was a little extreme in the analogy department, but for me public journaling is almost as alarming as public sex. I've got used to the idea as I've gone on (public journaling, we'll leave the public sex to the professionals) and now I enjoy it. This is the longest I've ever maintained a journal that wasn't required for a grade, so in some weird way it's probably good for me as a writer. And now you too can take silly quizes and display the answer for all to see. We are all waiting anxiously to find out what stone you are, what villian you are and what kind of goth chick you'd be. 'Cause really, you don't have anything else to do in your copious free-time!
