Dalmasca is, as is customary, frigid-cold and the air dry as a twig. Too cold to snow. Unfortunate, though hopefully ken to change.

The time between holidays blurs more with every year.

Around this time of year, Rabanastre's markets open in earnest. With less than a month to wait for Solstice celebrations, the sudden pique of interest is mostly thanks to the varied and sundry items that are largely only in demand, thus only produced en masse, during the later months. This time of year, most residents of Dalmasca usually take refuge from the sub-zero temperatures inside of doors. Nobody ever really gets used to the near-hundred degree up and downswings in heat. I've little to say that could accurately express my disappointment.

Dalmasca is in the middle of a desert. It kind of explains why the summers are so hot and dry, but as soon as the calendar year starts to draw to a close, the heat very quickly descends into something of a permanent cold-snap. It only gets worse at night ( Read more... )
