I read through the Memoirs book and it was pretty good, the movie did it justice. The one or two important things it missed were replaced with very wondrous imagery.

When you finish Memoirs of a Geisha you should read Geisha; a Life. You can borrow my copy, just tell me where to ship it and when to come pick it up.
