Teh new job
Well, my new job at Randstad (used to be Harcourt, got bought out) is working out pretty well. Yesterday, the first day on the project, SUCKED, mostly because of neck-ache from sitting in the same position all day. Well!
I spent the last week of my Spring Break in Austin, having a glorious, glorious time with daymorn, no surprise to anyone there. We had so much fun shopping and cooking Indian food, playing video games and sleeping (well mostly I did the sleeping). I did it!
I made it to the JET Program interview with the Consolate of Japan in Houston, and the interview went great! I have to say I feel confident that I will make the cut for the ALT position (Assistant Language Teacher), and could end up in Japan by July. That thought still boggles my mind... Hearing things
I'm still at Christian and Janna's house. I'm staying a second night because I'd just prefer to drive home in the daytime, and I don't have to be at work or anything (yay holiday!) Also, tonight is the final battle in Christian's Kingdom Hearts campaign on Animania Online, so the three of us are going hardcore tonight on starting the dungeon ( Read more... ) -
Fuck.
I just found out earlier this evening that Jean, my grandmother in law, the woman who married the father of my dad, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Apparently, it's just so bad, that the doctors say she doesn't have long to live. How it got SO bad without her knowing, I really don't know, but it seems even surgery wouldn't do her any good...
