I now take a break from threatening 2Day-FM/Austereo advertisers with boycott - and the suggestion that other Aussies do the same - to say RIP, Mr Percival. Vale, you great feathered bird.

It's literally a day of wine and roses. I'm making a 'rustic chicken casserole' with wine in it, and I'm going to be pruning the roses.

• Jimmy Barnes is Jewish. I don't understand how he could have taken this long to find out!
• Gordon is alive, emaciated but alive. And snuggled up to my legs for warmth, he seems happy.
• Kenji alarmed by unfamiliar and sudden laptop noises = adorable.
• Busy, active, walking, To Do Lists.

Sometimes I sing ditties to the animals with lyrics I make up as I go. It's like some mad rush poetry challenge 'cos once you start, the pace is on! Sometimes I make up the melodies, sometimes I don't. Today's was a little more sinister than most, and is set to My Favourite Things from The Sound of Music.

Wrote this a week ago at two in the morning and didn't post it for obvious reasons (see last line). Now I think it's so funny I have to. It seems that I write, read, text, eat and bite my nails :( in my sleep. It's becoming a problem.

Day from hell yesterday. Really needed a day off from organising my life and from dealing with increasingly stress-inducing parents who've been hovering around a bit lately.
