I believe Shouta-kun explained things a bit as to what we in the Guard have been up to lately, so I don't think I have to detail that much as to what's been keeping us busy. Between guard duty and gaining a..."mentor", of sorts, things have definitely kept me busy as of late. Sometimes...not quite in ways I'd say I enjoyed, but it has been an interesting learning experience, if nothing else. I had never met a detective before until having met Sai-san. So... It seems I've been away from my duties in the capital a...bit longer than expected, and I've been neglecting things due to preferring the comforts of my hometown. It seems I'm a bit late in leaving to head back home for the holidays, but I decided to stay a bit longer because I still hadn't finished gathering necessary gifts for everyone intended. With all this talking about Yule from everyone as of late, it's been making me think of how I've spent it in the past. Which in turn makes me think of home and family. Looks like there's a lot going on now to keep me busy and I've been glad for it. I always imagined I'd be put to the test with a lot of things in being a cadet, but it seems like things exceed my expectations even beyond that and even without Kazena-sama still holding the reins. Arrived~!
Well~! It was definitely a long trip getting all the way here, but I'm finally in the capital and getting settled into my new home of sorts! Though, really, I didn't realize until taking this trip just how far it was and how long it took to get from where my home is over on the Eastern shores to over here in the West.
