Since I'm out of practice with LJ, and there's not all that much that I share that gets read, I'm done with it. I'm home. For a few days. Going to Ft. Drum, NY. Freezing cold Infantry. Planning on seeing some good friends, Raliegh is on the way to NY. Wonder who I'll drop in on and who will want to spend a night out on the town with me in a couple days. Later.

It's the first of September. Things are going good enough considering I'm still stuck on Sand Hill waiting for orders. I have my assignment, which is Ft. Drum NY. It could be worse, like Ft. Well it's official, I'm a United States Infantryman. I've completed everything required to graduate from the Infantry School and to Turn Blue. I dropped my SF contract, for a couple reasons, one of which is I'd prefer to get actual military experience before going into something that elite. Well here I sit in the PX on Sand Hill in the internet section. Killing time and getting tired of being in training. It's time to get out of here, go to Jump School and then start doing my job.
