This was at the bottom of an email from my apartment complex management:
"As a side note, please be aware that removing shopping carts from grocery stores is illegal, but if you choose to bring it to Stevens Court, you need to return it."
I wonder what events prompted that! -
Sufjan Stevens knows the future
I was just listening to the song "Jacksonville", which starts off with these lines:
"I'm not afraid of the black man running
He's got it right he's got a better life coming."
This is referencing Jacksonville's status as a stop on the Underground Railroad back in the day. However, one might notice that it also describes Barack Obama quite well. ( Read more... ) -
Snowpocalypse 2008!
After coming back from Canada on Tuesday afternoon, I made a point of getting back to my apartment at UW before that night. The forecast was for snow, and I wanted to make it back in time to see a snowy campus. Election Night Spontaneity, remembered
