Why do I always have to be the strong one?
I always have to stand tall, stay strong, be responsible. Chris gets to just give up, stop working, stop doing EVERYTHING and it's not fair. It's not a tumor.
So I have a mass in my right armpit, it's been there for 5 years at least, doesn't seem to be growing, but it had to be growing before to actually get to the size it is now which is about the size of a ping pong ball. We talked to our bank this weekend and she recommended waiting another year before attempting to buy a house. She said we need to pay off debt first, something about a debt to credit ratio. Because I can't afford to pay taxes on it, we are looking into buying a house. Probably in Georgetown, which is just a little north of Round Rock, where we used to live. So I haven't heard from the Spine clinic people, and I figured I was probably too much of a weirdo to the doc, and he probably didn't like me, which I guess is okay because of the huge raise I got at my current job. I TOTALLY have this job in the bag.
So the 2nd position, it's actually an orthopaedic spine surgeon, and I had dinner with the office manager and one of their nurses 2 weeks ago on Tuesday. Lemme just tell you. Maybe a new job?
So Chris is still job hunting. He has been to a million interviews and we think he has a good lead. The position doesn't officially open up until August, but he still has to get licensed as an intern and that can take about 6 weeks. He will be able to get supervision for real licensure, plus benefits. So it looks good, but nothing definite ( Read more... )
