Busy busy.
Work is good except the drive is really starting to get to me. 50miles each way, an hour in the car. We are beginning to look at moving. Killeen is a shithole, but Harker Heights is actually pretty nice. Cheap houses and 20 minutes from work. I know my boss would be happy if I moved, I think because that would show I want to stay. I love my job. I love working hard, missing lunch, sticking needles in people, being smart. I love it. The hours are a little longer than I expected and, to be honest, I asked before I accepted the position if we would have to work overtime. They said no. This weekend I've been just hanging at home. It is St. Patrick's Day, but I haven't "celebrated" in a long time. #1. Any holiday made for drinking - New Years, Cinco de Mayo - we stay home. Whoa! 3 weeks later: So I have been going to the Rheumatology office every day and I am learning the computer system, the routine, their protocols, that sort of thing. First day at work!
Today I went into the Rheumatology office for my first day! I still don't have my license but they are letting me come work (at a reduced rate obviously) to get things going. Trevecca effed up my licensure forms again. I really don't understand it. The form is one page, you fill in literally 5 blanks of very basic information: the date. My name. The degree.
