UHF

Wow. My wife is so young that she doesn't know what UHF is and didn't recall that there were two dials on the TV when growing up.

Ok, she did remember the two dials when pressed, but did not realise what they were for.

the funny part is that we used to have a black and white tv with the super-modern "dual mode"... UHF and VHF.

it always lived in the playroom, and in the sewing room when we lived in peru.

Well, the fact that she didn't know and you do supports her claim that you never let her change the channel :)

Hrm. I'm the same age as wifey and I definitely recall that there were two dials, and I know what they were for.

Dials? on tele? what for?
I didn't need to change channels on the tv until I was 17...
Well OK, at least when at home. Foreign parts had buttons and dials and stuff.

When I were a lad we didn't have TVs, we sat and watched rocks instead. And we liked it like that!

Huh? Our TV had buttons, not dials. And I have no idea what UHF is. But then it was probably called something else in Dutch...

I do remember getting terribly excited when we got our first remote control though. :-)

Hey, want to come to Anti-Social at Bar Music Hall in Curtain Road tonight? It's free to get in!
