After a few days of doing absolutely nothing except getting side-tracked on the internet, watching movies, or playing WoW, I am thoroughly enjoying break! I'm sure by friday I'll be ready to go and see stuff with the family, but for now it's wonderful to just be a sloth. Only two more classes until break! The time has gone by very fast so far, and it's hard to believe that I've been here seven weeks already. This may be partly because of the non-change in weather from winter to spring. It's still coldish, windy, and rains a lot, so February and March sort of melded together. Sorry for the long delay in posting, this past week was extremely busy with essays, and I had little time to do much else. The weekend was wonderful, saturday the other study abroad students in my dorm made chocolate chip pancakes for lunch, since the previous wednesday had been national pancake day, and they were a disgrace to the name. Found more signs the other day when wandering around in the snow! It really took everyone by surprise, and it was really funny to see everyone so excited about 3-4 inches of snow. Apparently it's the most they've gotten at once in several years!

Since I got done with registering for classes on Thursday, that left Friday open for a bit of exploring. I decided to familiarize myself with the campus (called the "Uni" here) since the tour the day before hadn't been too thorough. So, upon arriving at my dorm (Churchill Hall), I met the porter and the secretary, both of whom were very nice, and the secretary (Jan) gave me a sack lunch since the servery (cafeteria) wasn't open.
