I wish I could find pictures of the ornaments that I put up today online, so that I could inflict them on all of you as well. (Yes, it's still only September, but that matters not to the gods of retail.) One of them looked like a severe skin infection. Another looked like the shiniest tumor I've ever seen. The decorations, I can get used to. It's the music that I truly dread. Read this entry from last year and know despair.

You should see the giant inflatable snow globe things that are in mein Home Improvement Fuhrer. UGH. Corporate policay apparently states that we have to have Xmas up by Oct. 1.

Damn, that's even worse than what I'm doing. We have until the sixth, which isn't much, but one less week of holiday music is one less week of pain.

Gah. Too bad Halloween isn't a big holiday payday for where you work. That would delay the Advent of Retail Christmas for you, if only for a month.

Not only that, but I'd also get to play with all the excellent Halloween goodies. You know, Fantasy Attic is hiring seasonal temps right about now. If I had more free time on my hands, I'd be there in a second.
