I spent yesterday on the Shenandoah river in a fairly remote area of West Virginia.

Seriously, it was one of the most BEAUTIFUL places I've ever seen.  Rolling hills covered in beautiful leafy trees and mighty rivers and streams make for an amazing landscape.  The locals I met there, while clearly woodsy folks, were a lot of fun to be around.
