Directed Study Book Suggestions...

I recently enrolled for a 2 credit directed study over the summer with my adviser. I need to pick a topic and send him a bibliography soon, and I wanted to get some input before doing so. If you want to do something on the Teutonic Knights, I've heard good things about William Urban as a baltic historian. Mind you I haven't yet had the chance to read his work, but I know he has at least one book out on the Teutonic Knights.

Was there some other knights involved after those living on, I think Rhodes, abandoned it after a bloody fight with the ottomans? Maybe this is nothing. I'd like to advertise Blood Rites by Barbara Ehrenreich again as it is just a great book. Origins and theory of war, she'll likely have said something interesting about some Knights orders.
