I just finished emailing my first draft of the paper for my historical methods in. The title sounds spiffy, but I don't think I quite deliver in the paper. Tuesday night I'll get feedback and I'll have a week to polish it. In the meantime I have another 30 page behemoth for my Islamic Empires class.

I keep telling everyone that I WILL get cancer in my life... I think the stats are about 1 in 3 these days. Couple that with both parents dying from cancer and my maternal grandmother dying from breast cancer and father's sister already having a bout with the same thing, and it doesn't look good. Animals painfully dying. That basically sums up tonight's viewing of the local news and browsing through yahoo news.

Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised; disappointed and saddened but not surprised.  The number one threat unfortunately is something we have no hope of combating right now.

Yesterday, a twelve hour shift; sleep for four hours, then go back for a 17.5 hour shift.

No wonder I'm popping advil like candy; my knees can't hold my fat ass up for that long without complaint.
