Random poetry moment.

Apr 28, 2005 14:12

I don't often write poems, because I don't think I'm very good at it. But this one's at least decent enough to show to another living soul. Cut for length (not that the poem's long, just the format).

Thank you!
Umm...hey, what's the deal with this kid looking for you? It is some version of you he's looking for, right?

((Have read the book OOC, but clueless IC.))

Yes, he is looking for me. A version of me. He...in my life, he found me, chained me, nearly killed me, all to prove his "love" for a woman he ended up not desiring in the end.

I have no idea why I fell in love with him. It just...happened.

Oh my god, that's awful! I had no idea...
No wonder everyone wants to cap his ass.

But you ended up marrying him? He must have changed...a lot.
Not the brightest crayon in the box, is he?

...wow.

I think I'm gonna add you to the list of poets I like.

Very short and exclusive list that is.

Really? *blush* Thank you! That's quite a compliment.

My list is pretty short, too, honestly.

I find most poetry really hard to read, there's actually only three poets on my 'like' list, and they're J.R.R. Tolkien, another online person I know who goes by the name Hellga, and you.

Ogden Nash is in a catetgory all by himself.

I like Maya Angelou, T.S. Eliot, ee cummings, and Robert Frost. Eliot's at the top of the list, really.
