MTB - Chino Hills & Santa Barbara

Been logging quite a few miles lately without the camera. I brought it along for the last two rides last week.

The first was a mid-week morning... my favorite time to go since everyone else is at work and the parks are empty. Chino Hills State Park out in the hills behind Yorba Linda:

Great pictures, as always. Love the wild boars and turkeys! There's a "wild boar crossing" road sign just a few miles south of here but I haven't seen any yet. I used to see wild turkeys all the time at CSUMB (weird!).

Thanks. Yeah, when I was telling my brother about the turkeys the first thing he said was you should have brought one back for me to eat, which I had joked about with my friend (who is a vegetarian) when we first saw the turkeys. After my brother's comment he was like- what's with you guys, you see animals and all you think about is food.

We also saw some deer cause a samll avalanche as they scampered up a very steep cliffside.

yeah, but thanks to global warming all the glaciers had melted flooding the valley of Terabithia and drowning all the creatures... so we turned around and headed back.

he was only a bit gung-ho at the begining then I think he forgot about the whole thing as he got progressively drunker. If he really wants to make it up to me he could get the word 'assknife' tattoed under the original tattoo, but I'll leave that up to him.
